Job description

Sales Representative

Press Room Equipment Co., located in Springfield, MO, is a division of The Bradbury Group, a family-owned organization leading the industry in producing quality roll forming solutions. Join our team!

Position Overview

Bring your hands-on background in metal stamping, press operation, or tool & die making into a sales role where you'll deliver turn-key solutions. You'll leverage your mechanical aptitude—and time on the shop floor—to understand stamping presses, progressive dies, and automated metal systems. Then you'll translate that expertise into customer-facing solutions, closing new business and growing existing accounts. This role blends technical training, account management, and technical selling.

  • Own full life-cycle account management: prospect, qualify, liaise with engineering, quote, negotiate, develop relationships, and close orders in assigned markets.
  • Collaborate with customers to assess needs—capacity requirements, forming sequences, recommending tooling, press upgrades, or automation in lines.
  • Lead technical consultations: provide design feedback, fit validation, time estimates, and costing.
  • Coordinate with in-house engineering and vendors to develop accurate proposals
  • Document all sales activity, technical specifications, and project milestones in CRM; maintain up-to-date planning sheets and files.
  • Partner with internal teams to generate new leads and support current customers
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets; personally source new business within defined industries through site visits with customers.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer reference visits.

Essential Functions

  • Directly accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day account management of the sales process
  • Independently handle customer relationships
  • Organize, direct, prospect, lead and close orders
  • Provide and coordinate direction on project concepts including engineering and costing
  • Accountable for documenting sales files, CRM database, commercial details of orders
  • Prepare planning sheets
  • Lead order entry process
  • Directly handle quoting process and costing of projects
  • Liaise with Group personnel as well as vendors to obtain quotations for on time presentation of proposals tied to the customer commitment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Abilities & Experience Required/Preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in a CRM database
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Manufacturing industry experience in metal stamping, press operation, tool & die design and/or operation, and metal processing systems
  • Proven ability to translate technical details into customer-centric solutions and commercial proposals
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; consultative approach to selling.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and team-oriented; thrives with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40–50%

8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F
