Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Technology Delivery Manager is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and delivering HR technology initiatives that support business and workforce objectives. This role serves as a liaison between Human Resources, Information Technology, vendors, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensuring alignment with system capabilities and team capacity. The position plays a key role in establishing intake, prioritization, and governance processes while overseeing the HR technology roadmap, vendor relationships, and ongoing support of HR systems to ensure effective, secure, and reliable technology solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
HR Technology Program Management
• Lead HR technology projects and initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements to support successful delivery.
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across HR, IT, vendors, and business partners to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Requirements Translation & Demand Management
• Lead discovery conversations with stakeholders to define business problems, clarify needs, and identify desired outcomes
• Translate complex or ambiguous business requests into clear, structured, and actionable functional and technical requirements
• Establish and manage intake processes to ensure requests are well-defined, aligned to business objectives, and ready for delivery
• Partner with HRIS and IT teams to validate feasibility, define scope, and identify dependencies
HR Technology Strategy & Roadmap
• Maintain the HR technology roadmap and support prioritization of technology initiatives.
• Partner with HR leadership to identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and employee experiences.
• Support evaluation and implementation of new HR technology solutions and enhancements.
Vendor & Application Management
• Manage relationships with HR technology vendors and service providers.
• Coordinate contracts, licensing, renewals, and vendor performance activities.
• Support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of HR technology applications.
Technical Coordination & Support
• Partner with technical teams to support integrations, testing, system upgrades, and application changes.
• Coordinate activities required to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of HR technology solutions.
• Assist in resolving system issues and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Data Governance & Security
• Support data governance, data quality, and system security practices across HR technology platforms.
• Partner with HR, IT, and Security teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits, security reviews, and access management activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a liaison between HR, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, and business impacts to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Support change management, training, and user adoption efforts for HR technology initiatives.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, or Computer Science

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand system capabilities, integrations, and data structures.

  • Prefer at least 2-3 years of project management experience, business analysis, or HR Technology roles

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional, enterprise-level projects from discovery through implementation

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITY
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority in a multi-level environment

  • Strong experience translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and change management frameworks

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable messages

  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate sensitive people-related topics with discretion

  • Ability to balance competing priorities while aligning work to capacity and business impact

  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform decisions, prioritization, and measure success
