Job Summary:
Genedata is a leading provider of enterprise software solutions for biopharma R&D, committed to accelerating the pace of scientific innovation. The Technical Sales Engineer will provide expert technical support throughout the sales process, bridging the gap between innovative software solutions and client needs in the biopharma sector.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and support about the product throughout the sales cycle, including post-sales implementation.
• Conduct in-depth needs assessments and present customized solutions to customers.
• Demonstrate the capabilities and values of Genedata Profiler through presentations and product demos.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and success.
• Advise and collaborate with the sales, marketing, product and scientific teams to expand the market and shape the product roadmap
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI, data management solutions, and data analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree in Computer Sciences, Data Science, or quantitative scientific field with a demonstrated understanding of software development principles applied to life sciences
• Strong foundation in working with scientific, experimental, or computational data, ideally in a life sciences or biopharma context
• Proven experience in data engineering, and analysis, particularly with pharmaceutical R&D data (experience with data products, data models is a plus)
• Competent in programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with setting up and maintaining ETL workflows, dashboard development, and big data analytics platforms
• Familiar with AI and advanced analytics for biopharma applications
• Expertise in Python or R is required, with ability to build custom scripts, prototype data workflows, and develop technical proof-of-concept during pre-sales cycles
• Solid experience working hands-on with scientific, R&D, or data-driven problems in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, or scientific software environments – experience in CMC is a plus
• Ability to understand complex scientific questions and translate them into structured data- or software-driven solutions
• Strong appetite for technical pre-sales; ability to lead deep-dive sessions with client-specific use cases
• Strong technical storytelling; ability to translate rich data workflows into clear value propositions for both technical and business
• About 20% travel within the US and occasional travel to Europe
