We currently have a role available for a Pharma Patent Writer. This position MAY transition into a hybrid role. We are happy to discuss logistics with qualified candidates.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading technical content drafting for patent applications.
  • Obtaining, organizing, analyzing, and maintaining information relating to research or development activities for inclusion in patent applications.
  • Critically analyzing and engaging with technical information including but not limited to:
    • Engaging with laboratory notebook entries and data in view of structural data and synthetic routes presented.
    • Reducing numerous preparations and examples into general synthetic schemes.
  • Effectively communicating between scientists and legal team to ensure timely flow of information.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • BS/MS/PhD in chemistry, organic chemistry or related field.
  • At least 10 years of technical experience in pharmaceutical discovery and/or development of pharmaceutical products including, but not limited to, small molecules, medicinal chemistry, and/or drug conjugates.
  • Fluent in nomenclature conventions used to describe organic chemical compounds including chirality and synthesis.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
