JobOverview

As an Order Picker, youare responsible foraccurately picking and staging orders for delivery across all business channels, including retail, wholesale, and home delivery. Your role ensures that customers receive high-quality productsin a timely manner,maintainingGreenhouse's commitment to service excellence.


Statement of Work & Responsibilities:

Efficient Order Fulfillment:

  • Prioritize and organize work to fulfill orders accurately and promptly, ensuring that all products meet Greenhouse's quality standards beforedispatch.
  • Ensure orders are prepared and staged in line with delivery schedules tomaintaintimelyshipments.

Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels areaccurateandassistwith inventory replenishment by reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support inventory audits by providingaccuratestock counts and updating system records as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect products for quality and freshness during picking and packing, ensuring only the best products are sent to customers. Report any damaged or expired productsimmediately.
  • Follow proper food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure products meet safety standards.

Equipment Operation:

  • Safelyoperatewarehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and wrapping machines. Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Train on and adhere to safety protocols for all equipment to avoid accidents or malfunctions.

Data Entry and Tracking:

  • Utilize Greenhouse's order management system to track order progress, update inventory levels, and record any issuesencounteredduring order fulfillment.
  • Keepaccuraterecords of order completions and discrepancies to support smooth operations and reporting.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the production andlogisticsteams to streamline operations, minimize errors, and improve overall efficiency in the fulfillment process.
  • Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure all orders are packed correctly and staged fortimelydispatch.

Sustainability Practices:

  • Implement sustainable practices in daily tasks, such as minimizing packaging waste, recycling materials, andoptimizingdelivery routes to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
  • Participate in company-wide sustainability initiatives, contributing to Greenhouse's overall environmental goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss workflowimprovements, andcontribute ideas for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the order picking process.
  • Stay informed aboutnew technologiesor processes that could improve picking efficiency and product handling.


RequiredSkills andExperience:

  • Education:High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:Must have at least 2year of experience staging in manufacturing environment in food/beverage or CPG. Must have at least 1 year of experience with machinery/equipment experience operatingpallet jacks and wrapping machines.
  • Technical Proficiency:Must have at least 1 year of experience with GMP and food safety standards.
  • Physical Stamina:Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand forlong periodsin cold/wet environments.
  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
  • Attention to Detail:Strong focus on accuracy and quality when fulfilling orders and inspecting products.
  • Flexibility:Willingness to work longer hours if necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork:Ability to work within a team environment to complete larger tasks efficiently.
  • Documentation Skills:Good documentation skills for tracking orders and inventory updates.
  • Pace and Stamina:Ability to work at a quick pace and stand for extended periods during shifts.
