Technical Manager, Cloud Operations Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Technical Manager, Cloud Operations to drive the availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of our SaaS platforms hosted on AWS. This person will partner closely with R&D teams to support system deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, performance optimization, and rapid business growth. You will oversee 24/7 production operations, including monitoring, incident management, emergency response, and reliability initiatives to ensure high service availability and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will champion automation through CI/CD best practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation), and advanced monitoring and alerting solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort

This is an onsite role in our Jacksonville, FL office working Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

  • Partner with R&D teams on system deployment, version upgrades, capacity planning, and performance tuning to support rapid business iteration.
  • Oversee daily operations of AWS infrastructure and core systems for SaaS products, including monitoring, alerting, incident handling, and emergency response.
  • Ensure 7x24 high availability of SaaS systems. Define and execute availability strategies and standards. Continuously improve system reliability and service satisfaction.
  • Drive automation in operations. Establish CI/CD pipeline standards to support automated releases. Implement automation tools and monitoring/alerting platforms to reduce manual work and improve incident response speed.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform or CloudFormation. Optimize operational processes, strengthen team execution, and improve organizational maturity in standardization.
  • Implement security operations standards, including system hardening, patch management, and access control. Support security team on audit-related tasks.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Language: Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) required - ability to communicate smoothly with headquarters on technical matters. Work proficiency in English for local work environment.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on AWS operations experience, with at least 1 year of team or project management experience.
  • Kubernetes: 1+ year of production environment experience; ability to troubleshoot common issues independently.
  • Middleware: Solid knowledge of Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Kafka - configuration and tuning.
  • Scripting: Proficient in Shell or Python for automation and maintenance scripts.
  • IaC: Familiar with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • AWS Services: Familiar with VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS.
  • CI/CD: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Leadership Abilities
  • Strong sense of responsibility and team collaboration
  • Willing to manage on-call rotation
