Job Description
The Enterprise Data Operations Senior Manager will lead implementation, support, and lifecycle initiatives for IT platforms used across different business organizations and manufacturing sites. This leader will partner closely with other IT infrastructure groups to achieve operation excellence and with Business IT customers to deliver on priority projects. You will manage a team of eight platform engineers, tackle complex challenges as you develop, and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of eight highly skilled platform engineers supporting eleven infrastructure enterprise platforms.
  • Oversee operational activities performed by service providers.
  • Drive platform lifecycle roadmaps and capacity management plans.
  • Ensure all infrastructure platforms meet compliance, change, and security requirements.
  • Formulate responses to audit inquiries.
  • Manage renewals for infrastructure platforms.
  • Support the development of an annual budget and complete licensing chargebacks.
  • Define strategies for introducing new system capabilities and processes.
  • Frequently present KPIs and operational updates to upper management
  • Guide cross-functional teams in delivering new platform and automation capabilities that streamline work processes.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years' experience OR Master's Degree with 7 years' experience OR PhD with 3 years' experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in screening new talent and managing technical resources, clearly defining expectations for delivery and performance
  • Previous experience managing a team of IT engineers
  • Previous experience supporting an enterprise infrastructure platform
  • New solution prototyping, implementation, and awareness of security implications
  • Previous experience with IT audits
  • Strong software engineering background
  • Understanding of platform engineering, cloud platforms, infrastructure as a service, and user experience.
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting (firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
  • Proven ability to engage engineering teams as a technical peer-can discuss architectural trade-offs, evaluate technical debt, and contribute to design discussions.
  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to effectively summarize technical projects for upper management.
  • Understanding of encryption and secure data movement

Preferred:
  • ServiceNow CMDB and ticketing systems
  • Prior experience identifying automation opportunities and successfully deploying production-ready solutions
