Job Description

The Director of Program Management reports to the Vice President Customer Engineering. You will help us implement and manage the methods, processes and tools required to support the AI customer life-cycle at Mirantis. This is a cross-functional role, requiring collaboration to streamline and manage processes that help us deliver value to internal and external customers in a repeatable and predictable fashion. You will oversee and implement powerful AI-supported tools that help us execute high-impact programs, such as trials, evaluations, pilots and solution delivery - often in fast-evolving and ambiguous environments. You will partner closely with engineers, architects, and client stakeholders to translate business goals into executable plans, while ensuring delivery excellence and long-term client success.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement processes for customer Proof-of-Concepts (PoC), solution delivery and AI design partnerships.

  • Manage the PoC process, working closely with our account teams, solution architects and solution engineers to manage scope, success criteria and other critical aspects of the presales phase.

  • Develop agentic AI solutions that support our customer life-cycle, from presales to operations.

  • Implement and manage delivery processes in iterative and evolving environments, often for programs where scope and outcomes develop over time.

  • Evolve our deal desk to support Request For Proposals (RFP) responses, statements of work and other proposals that our account teams need to support the sales process.

  • Partner with our professional services team to provide ongoing leadership and coaching to our technical project managers.

  • Manage retrospectives that we do at the conclusion of various presales activities, such as PoCs, RFP responses, etc.

  • Ensure strong financial and commercial management of projects, including scope control, change management, and margin awareness

  • Facilitate clear, concise communication across all levels, including executive stakeholders

  • Contribute to account growth by identifying follow-on opportunities and helping shape new engagements

  • Continuously improve delivery practices, bringing structure where needed while maintaining flexibility for innovation

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience managing large client-facing projects in a professional services or consulting environment.

  • Bachelor in business or operational management.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar.

  • Proven experience in delivering product-based software solutions to large enterprises where you have led complex, cross-functional programs with distributed teams.

  • Experience in creating and using AI agents to accelerate work and processes.

  • Strong client presence with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate as a trusted advisor.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation

  • A pragmatic, outcome-driven mindset - you focus on delivering value, not just managing tasks.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where requirements and solutions are iteratively defined and refined alongside delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

  • Experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with modern delivery tools and agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with concepts such as LLMs, data pipelines, model lifecycle, or experimentation workflows.

What Success Looks Like

  • Our Pre-sales processes, such as PoCs, complete on time, meet success criteria and accelerate the sales process.

  • We have predictable and repeatable processes in place that help our teams deliver products and solutions effectively with expected outcomes.

  • Internal and external clients view you as a trusted partner with strategic viewpoints.

  • Projects are delivered with high quality, strong client satisfaction, and clear business outcomes.

  • You effectively bridge business goals and technical execution.

  • You help expand engagements through credible delivery and proactive insight.

  • You bring structure without slowing down innovation-especially in AI-driven work.
