Job description

Position Summary:

The operations coordinator assists branch management with daily operations. This position assists in coordinating operations, product development, service, and quality. Additionally, this position assists the branch manager/operations manager with monitoring safety information, scheduling, reporting, and other safety-related activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of daily yard activities of workers and drivers.
  • Utilize computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and NAV.
  • Manage stock, check-in/out, confirm dates.
  • Manage service requests from start to finish.
  • Manage the scheduling of deliveries, pickups, and set-ups.
  • Keep scheduling activities on board updated in real-time.
  • Communicate with customers prior to delivery & pickups.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster, aid, and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Monitor oversight of stock assignment to branches.
  • Issue and track vendor purchase orders
  • Assist in the monitoring of purchasing and expenses associated with the maintenance of the yard and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • This position requires a high school diploma and 1+ year of administrative assistant experience or equivalent combination of work and educational experience
  • Experience working on an assembly or construction site a plus.
