JOB SUMMARY:

Directs the design, development, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of custom software solutions and enterprise application platforms supporting Universal Creative. Leads the Technical Solutions organization responsible for software engineering, application architecture, enterprise integrations, and platform development with a primary focus on PMWeb and related business systems. Partners with business leaders, project teams, and technology organizations to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and enable strategic business capabilities. Oversees application development standards, integration architecture, software lifecycle management, and technical governance while fostering innovation and engineering excellence across the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Technical Solutions team.
  • Define the technology roadmap for applications development, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
  • Establish software engineering standards, architecture principles and development methodologies.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technical solutions with business priorities.
  • Drive innovation through emerging technologies and modern development practices.
  • Direct the design, development and enhancement of PMWeb and other enterprise business applications.
  • Oversee application architecture, code quality, testing and release management.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable.
  • Prioritize development efforts based on business value and organizational objectives.
  • Govern the complete software development lifecycle from planning though production support handoff.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise application integrations and APIs.
  • Develop integration standards and best practices across business platforms.
  • Oversee middleware, automation and data exchange technologies.
  • Improve business workflows though system integrations and process automation.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and interoperability across enterprise applications.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Technical Solutions team including managers, software engineers and application engineers.
  • Establish performance expectations, technical standards, and career development plans.
  • Mentor technical leaders while fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Allocate engineering resources across strategic initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, vendor relationships and software licensing for the Technical Solutions portfolio.
  • Evaluate technology vendors, consulting partners, and development tools.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT leadership on strategic technology investments.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, systems integration or related technology disciplines is required.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams is preferred;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
