Nightwing is seeking experienced and certified Technical Operations to provide a safe, conducive, and collaborative learning environment. The job location will be in Sterling, VA area, with significant conus; possibility of OCONUS travel. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert with proven experience teaching adult learns in an applications-oriented and hands-on environment. Technical Operations will support a teaching environment to perform on-site site surveys to map out routes, identify obstacles, and verify installation details. The individual will instruct on how to install, terminates, connects and tests fiber optic cables to ensure network functionality and signal integrity. This position key concepts are to include physical planning and rack integration. Broad Understanding of principles of Operational Security is critical for this position.The Technical Operations responsibilities will include and but are not limited to:1) Deliver high-quality, engaging, and applications-oriented training seminars to professional technical staff2) Developing program processes and procedures as well as training curriculums3) Adapt instructional methods and training aids to suit the audience and learning environment4) Provide valuable feedback for curriculum updates and adhere to procedural guidelines for program delivery5) Maintain a high level of experience in the field of technical and operational skills set. 6) Organize and maintain all artifacts and records related to the programThe program and team members are expected to develop and improve their skill set and knowledge and support in improving and maturing the program. Along with increased responsibilities, team members will have opportunities for growth and other challenges if desired.Duties:This role performs the following core functions:
  • Overseeing a specific course, including developing curriculum, training other instructors, assessing student progress, and ensuring the requirements of subject matter is met
  • Support the planning of the training sessions and improving the skills of those who will instruct in training, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Emphasize achieving a high level of skill and knowledge in a subject and enabling the individual to teach it to others.
  • Managing the overall teaching process, providing guidance and resource to other future instructors, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph updated within the last five years;
  • Over 10 years' experience working with the customer in a classified environment;
  • Managing equipment, data security, physical security, educator certified skills, and supporting technical operations;
  • Experience in Training of Trainers (ToT);
  • Over 2 years' experience facilitating training and assessment courses;
  • IT experience maintaining Windows and Linux workstations, networking, and communications;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communications skills;
  • Willingness to spend extended amount of time outside of the WMA in and out several training facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Over 3 years' experience with the customer certified programs
  • Advance Degree in Engineering or Education or equivalent
Travel Qualifications:
  • Ability to support an extended amount of time outside of the WMA area to various customer's training sites.


Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
