Role: Program Manager – Infrastructure, Device Discovery & Service Mapping
Location: San Jose, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Candidate Preference: Local candidates only

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead an Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping initiative. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in technical infrastructure programs, Agile delivery, CMDB/discovery tools, and successfully recovering projects that are behind schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping initiatives
  • Drive Agile sprint planning, execution, and delivery
  • Identify schedule risks, root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate with technical teams to validate discovery and service mapping
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
  • Ensure timely delivery of infrastructure program objectives

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience in Infrastructure or IT Operations
  • Experience with Device Discovery and CMDB tools such as:
    • ServiceNow Discovery
    • Lansweeper
    • Device42
    • Similar discovery platforms
  • Knowledge of Service Mapping concepts and tools such as:
    • ServiceNow Service Mapping
    • BMC Helix
    • Similar dependency mapping tools
  • Experience leading projects using Agile/Scrum with 2-week sprint cycles
  • Proven experience recovering projects that were delayed or over budget
  • Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience creating or validating Service Maps
  • Knowledge of discovery protocols:
    • SNMP
    • WMI
    • Agent-based Discovery
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification
