Job description

Are you energized by the challenge of executing complex hardware deployments across Amazon's robotics network? The RTS Process Engineering team is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive retrofit execution across our fielded fleet of autonomous robotics systems. In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of hardware modification and firmware update programs across active fulfillment centers, ensuring safety-critical retrofits, supplier quality resolutions, and product upgrades are completed on time and to specification.
You will manage programs from intake through site execution - coordinating material procurement, site scheduling, third-party vendor oversight, and post-installation verification. Your work directly protects the availability and safety of robotics systems that power Amazon's fulfillment network, making you a critical link between engineering teams who design improvements and the field teams who implement them at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution of assigned retrofit programs: intake, funding approval, material procurement, site scheduling, vendor coordination, installation tracking, and post-execution verification
- Manage retrofit project schedules across multiple active fulfillment centers, driving on-time completion rate and on-time material delivery to sites
- Coordinate with third-party vendor partners to ensure quality execution standards are met consistently across all retrofit installations
- Partner with product engineering, supply chain, and field operations teams to resolve dependencies, remove blockers, and maintain critical path alignment
- Track and report program status, risks, and escalations to leadership using established metrics frameworks and reporting cadences
- Develop and maintain retrofit execution documentation including site-specific plans, quality check templates, and post-installation verification criteria
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives including automation of program management workflows (project creation, critical path mapping, stakeholder notifications)
A day in the life
Your morning starts with a portfolio status check - confirming material deliveries, reviewing site schedules, and flagging risks. You join a cross-functional sync with product engineering to align on an upcoming safety-critical retrofit. After lunch, you lead a quality review call with a vendor partner who completed installations at three sites, verifying inspection criteria were met. You close the day updating critical paths and preparing a program health brief for leadership.
Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children can use. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment. The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include:
1. Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
2. Maternity and Parental Leave Options
3. Paid Time Off (PTO)
4. 401(k) Plan
If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you're passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!
