Job description

Overview
The OMM Fellowship is a dual-role position designed to provide osteopathic medical students with advanced clinical and academic training in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine while supporting the OMM Department through teaching, clinical, and administrative activities. The position combines billable hourly duties with participation in a structured educational fellowship course, which includes supervised clinical learning and participation in the OMM Teaching and Learning Center (OMMTLC) Fellowship Clinic.
Responsibilities
Lab Support
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of OMM labs.
  • Actively support and facilitate small group sessions during OMM lab.
  • Operate cameras and assist with audiovisual recordings of lab sessions.
  • Edit and upload lab videos and instructional content as needed and support with coordination with work-study for video editing.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Assessment and Teaching Support
  • Assist faculty in preparation, administration, and proctoring of practical and written exams and BSAs.
  • Facilitate review sessions and peer-learning opportunities.
  • Support team-based learning (TBL) sessions, workshops, and remediation.
  • Teaching lectures, labs and tbls as assigned.

Departmental Engagement
  • Hold scheduled office hours/Reviews to assist students with OMM technique and theory.
  • Attend departmental meetings and trainings as requested.
  • Log and submit all billable hours (not to exceed 1200 hours for the fellowship).

OMM Fellows do not have formal supervisory authority but may provide peer mentorship, assist junior students in skill development, and co-facilitate small group sessions under faculty supervision.
