    Job description

    Here at Yamaha we are seeking to find a Technical Training Specialist II for our office located in Marietta, Georgia. The Technical Training Specialist II creates and delivers training for Yamaha's dealer network, end users, and employees. This role is responsible for the development of web-based training, digital and print learning materials, and product/operations guides. This role also conducts in-person technical education, including training lab mobilization, setup, unit rigging, and classroom teaching as well as on-location consumer event support and education.
    What you'll be doing:
    • E-learning module development and project management, including drafting, content sourcing, and leading review and approval processes with subject matter experts (SMEs) across assigned courses and business units.
    • Utilizing Articulate, Captivate, and/or SmartBuilder software, create, update, and develop web-based e-learning including writing, storyboard design, and final approval of published content.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement updates to dated training materials and YMU's annual student curriculum, including sales, service, and parts content.
    • Create digital and print training materials for learning objectives, including head-to-head product evaluations, new model features and benefits, and technical reference sources.
    • Conduct classroom and lab instruction, including textbook design, unit/bug preparation, mobilization and delivery, testing, grading, and reporting for YTA classes.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and SMEs to develop market- and time-sensitive content to meet learning objectives.
    • Work with internal and external partners to create, shoot, and edit video resources for YMU, including both studio and on-location events.
    • Work with business units and SMEs to incorporate YMU deliverables into overall marketing, point-of-purchase, and launch/embargo schedules.
    • Direct-to-consumer/in-house event support and education (consumer shows, internal training, industry events, and rental partners).
    • Research market needs, identify new training opportunities.
    • Maintain technical expertise across Motorsports industry products and technologies
    • Apply practical concepts and innovation to projects, including novel content delivery methods and channels, new tools and software, etc.
    • Practice efficient internal and external project management, including vendor relations.
    • Decisions must be made collaboratively with the management.
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills when working independently
    • Excellent multimedia communication skillset, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
    • Ability to physically move powersports equipment weighing up to 400 pounds, and/or motorcycles weighing up to 900 pounds.
    • 1-3 years' experience delivering adult in-person technical education.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
    • Valid motorcycle endorsement.
    • Approximately 25% annual travel required.

    What you need to be successful:
    • 3-5 years' experience creating and publishing adult e-Learning content utilizing Adobe Captivate, SmartBuilder, or Articulate Storyline.
    • 3-5 years' experience in powersports technical diagnostics and repair.

    • Working knowledge of DRM for visual assets and other Ips.
