Position Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented HVAC Design Assistant to support our design and estimating team in creating accurate and efficient HVAC layouts for residential and light commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of HVAC systems and a passion for learning, design, and technical drafting.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the creation of HVAC system layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry design software
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and design standards to produce accurate system drawings
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and sales teams to gather necessary information
  • Support equipment selection and load calculations under the guidance of senior designers
  • Help ensure all designs comply with local codes, regulations, and company standards
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
  • Assist in preparing submittal packages and as-built drawings
  • Perform site visits when necessary to collect field data

Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and design principles
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
