Overview
The Associate Director of Verified will be responsible for running the Verified Program focused on Artificial Intelligence, exploring evolving AI capabilities across the digital media landscape. They will have a passion for the new AI landscape with a keen ability to bring tactical media expertise and create educational content for all audience levels. The Associate Director will be a key thought leader and drive vendor evaluation and management, content development, agency advisory and marketplace education. Proven account management and cross-team collaboration skills are essential as this role will collaborate across agency teams and provide a strong POV for technical best practices.
Verified is Publicis Media's proprietary certification program measuring the services & capabilities of the industry's leading technology vendors against established Groupe standards. The Verified evaluation process is an independent and agnostic technology deep dive to determine the best-in-class advertising solutions which drive best practices and recommendations across Publicis Media agencies and clients.
AI is being incorporated into every type of tech partner within digital media including media buying (search, social, programmatic), audience creation, verification, contextual categorization, creative development, and more. The candidate understands that AI is a new, often undefined space, and will be tasked with building a new Verified practice that must translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. The Associate Director is positioned to be a strategic partner to Publicis Media leadership, Marketing, Precision, Partnerships, and Product teams to support business critical projects. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly create and articulate the value proposition of highly technical offerings for internal best practices, educational content and external vendor management. Rather than working for a single client, our work impacts all Publicis Media clients. The Associate Director can help define our roadmap, team priorities, and lead content that directly influences all agencies and clients in the US.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director role will partner across PMX, Publicis Groupe & the technology partners. The role responsibilities are inclusive of:
  • Proactively manage the Verified program across Artificial Intelligence partners. This includes management of a network of existing partners and fielding new vendor requests; facilitating partnership communication (internally and externally) and ensuring partner strategy aligns with the needs of PMX and Publicis agencies.
  • Deep understanding and technological expertise of the evolving AI Landscape
  • Identify key areas of business needs and cultivate deep technical expertise about the programmatic marketplace, the digital media industry, marketers, AI capabilities & offerings.
  • Provide advisory support for cross-agency and PMX audiences.
  • Lead marketplace research, cross-team collaboration and thought leadership content creation, 101-201 playbooks, and Competitive Comparison Matrices to support agency teams and client requests.
  • Experience creating and launching new service offerings or products, especially within AI search, contextual or creative platforms.
  • Lead technology partner meetings and coordinate deliverables
  • Strategically lead Verified projects autonomously and proactively identify new opportunities that align to business needs.
  • Present thought leadership content pieces to internal audiences and externally to clients and partners.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advise on the use of emerging channels and use cases across the evolution of AI offerings

Contributes to the development and documentation of AI best practices across Publicis agencies and Precision teams.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have:
  • 4-6 years' digital advertising experience in digital media, social or commerce activation
  • Enthusiasm and desire to develop innovative AI strategies with the understanding that they will evolve and change as the AI landscape evolves
  • Industry Knowledge: deep understanding of key media trends, marketplace evolutions, and technology partners in the digital media industry.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate projects across multiple teams and functions
  • Possess confidence, composure, and polished presentation skills to effectively attend and lead meetings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of media agencies, advertising and marketing technology
  • Cross-functional collaboration, detail orientation, project management, and research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks with delivery to different stakeholders
  • Strong desire to contribute to a team but also must have the overall drive to execute projects to completion individually.
  • Flexible with the ability to keep up with a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
