You will collaborate closely with client sponsors, technical stakeholders, and globally distributed delivery teams to drive high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. You will also play a key role in major incident response, process improvement, and the development of delivery best practices across our Managed Services portfolio.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Delivery
  • Own and drive the delivery and operational excellence of modern data platforms (including streaming, data lakes, and analytics) for multiple customer accounts.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable Epics, Stories, and Tasks that mature and improve customer data platforms while aligning to phData methodologies and best practices.
  • Ensure engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, with clear measures of success and value for customers.
  • Lead and motivate client technical teams, providing hands-on technical leadership for design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of cloud data platforms.
  • Provide leadership during major incidents, ensuring effective coordination, communication, escalation, and follow-through to resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including architects, engineers, and site reliability/operations teams in the US and India to deliver successful client engagements and seamless handoffs across time zones.
  • Develop strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and outcomes, hosting leadership discussions, and identifying opportunities to expand the value of our services.
  • Ensure teams are trained and prepared to deliver by driving accurate process documentation, clear internal and external communication, and continuous readiness for production operations.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels across accounts, balancing delivery between US and India team members to support continuous delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Practice & Firm Contribution
  • Deliver feedback and drive improvements to our overall Managed Services offerings through process optimization, knowledge sharing, and creation of accelerators and reusable assets.
  • Champion phData's core values and foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within delivery teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of best practices for incident management, change management, and modern data platform operations across multiple customers.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach architects, engineers, and operations team members, helping them grow technical depth and delivery capabilities across large and complex environments.
  • Help define and refine Managed Services standards, playbooks, and frameworks to support scalable growth across a broad customer base.
About You

You are a client-focused technical delivery leader who enjoys owning complex data platform operations, guiding teams through ambiguity, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. You are equally comfortable discussing architectural trade-offs with engineers and outcomes with business leaders, and you thrive in a remote, global, outcomes-driven environment.

Required QualificationsExperience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical management, IT architecture, customer relationship management, project management, and/or delivery management, ideally within data, analytics, or infrastructure operations.

  • Experience scoping and planning large-scale, complex technology infrastructure or modern data platform initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ownership of incident and escalation processes, including coordination among technical teams, end-users, and stakeholders through resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Active daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) with demonstrated judgment about when to trust, verify, and correct AI-generated output.
  • Ability to describe specific engineering tasks completed with AI assistance.
Consulting / Delivery Skills
  • Experience delivering services for external or internal customers in a professional services, managed services, or similar client-facing environment, including direct interaction with global customers and business partners.
  • Ability to interact confidently with Director and VP level stakeholders, guiding discussions, building relationships, and communicating complex technical information in accessible ways (written, verbal, and formal presentations).
  • Proven experience coordinating across technical teams managing IT infrastructure services or modern data platforms for multiple customers concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Collaboration & Ownership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams across regions (e.g., US, LATAM, and/or India) and time zones.
  • Strong leadership skills with a professional track record of creating, challenging, and improving processes and procedures.
  • Highly organized, strategic thinker, and effective problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities and accounts simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones as needed to support global teams and customers.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (degree preferred but not required).

Location & Time Zone Expectations

This role is based in the US and operates primarily in Central or Eastern US time zones, with regular collaboration with teams in India and across the Americas.

  • We are a remote-first company, and you should be comfortable working with a distributed global team.
  • Some flexibility may be required to collaborate across time zones with colleagues and clients.
