Title: Technical Business Analyst

Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite - 5 Days a Week)


We are looking for a highly analytical Technical Business Analyst with 8+ years of experience to help bridge business needs, system behavior, and engineering execution. In this role, you will translate complex business goals into clear technical requirements, uncover root causes behind system and user issues, and partner closely with product, architecture, UX, and engineering teams to drive successful end-to-end delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment and enjoys working across web, mobile, and integrated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of system behavior across applications, platforms, and integrations.
  • Analyze user-reported issues through root cause investigation, data validation, and structured documentation of findings.
  • Partner with Product Management to refine high-level business needs into detailed software and system requirements.
  • Break down business and product requirements into epics, features, and granular user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and engineering teams to proactively explore current-state systems and understand existing application functionality.
  • Define requirements that account for workflows, system integrations, data mapping, dependencies, edge cases, and user experience considerations.
  • Create and maintain integration requirements, including interface specifications and documentation for connected systems.
  • Work closely with UX designers to ensure requirements align with intended customer and user journeys for web and native mobile applications.
  • Support Agile product planning, release planning, backlog refinement, and sprint planning activities in partnership with Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery confidence.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions that support functionality, usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership, initiative, and independence while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working on software application or development projects as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • Experience ensuring requirements fully capture workflows, data needs, integrations, business rules, edge cases, and user interactions.
  • Experience partnering with development teams building web and native mobile applications.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools for backlog management and software release planning.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations, API documentation, and database-related analysis.
  • Familiarity with observability and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk, App Insights, DataDog, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment

The base salary for this position is $92,250 to $120,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
