Fall Musical Technical Director
Position Overview
The Technical Director (TD) supports the technical elements of the musical production, including set construction and painting, props, lighting, and sound. This role works closely with the director and helps supervise and mentor student technical crew members.
Responsibilities
Assist with set construction, installation, and strike. (There is already a primary builder)
Lead scenic painting and decorative finishing of set pieces and stage elements.
Coordinate and organize props for rehearsals and performances.
Oversee and support student lighting and sound technicians.
Assist with lighting and sound design, setup, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with directing staff throughout the production process.
Qualifications
Experience in technical theater, construction, painting, lighting, or sound preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work well with students and adults.
Knowledge of basic theater safety practices.
Schedule
Hours/Day: Varies depending on theater production schedule, main commitment time begins 11/1-11/22.
