Senior Copywriter/Content Creator

Join our dynamic team and help us create best-in-class social content for millions of followers! As a key creative mind, youโ€™ll develop innovative concepts and create work that drives engagement across this company social platforms. Must have social channel copywriting experience.

Role Overview

As Senior Copywriter, youโ€™ll be tasked with rapid concepting, tracking trends, and shaping the way our brand comes to life via our social media content.

The ideal candidates have a finger on the pulse of social trends and culture, and are strategic and proactive problem solvers. They embody a creator mindsetโ€”willing and eager to move fast from inspiration to execution, quickly iterate based on feedback, and are comfortable working across many projects at once on a fluid schedule. They are able to deliver work that can convey complex technical concepts as well as simple, consumer-focused ideas. They should also be able to see and understand their work as a part of the larger story of the brand, quickly getting up to speed with our personality, tone of voice, and translating that into work that engages and resonates with a wide audience.

Required Skills

  • Adept social creative, with a demonstrated ability to create a wide range of social first contentโ€”from funny, quick-hit videos to in-depth, engaging product updates.
  • Strategic thinker, who can surface insights and opportunities from social trends, cultural moments, and convert them into best-in-class social concepts.
  • Presents a breadth of ideas in a clear and focused way that builds variety into our content calendar through always on, campaign, and reactive content.
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to quickly do research internally and externally to ensure product and brand accuracy.
  • Ability and interest in appearing as a supporting โ€œcast memberโ€ on camera is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in ad agency and/or in-house concepting and copywriting ideas for brand and product.
  • Strong social background requiredโ€”demonstrated ability to write for platform-native formats and audiences across multiple platforms.
  • A portfolio showing humor and wit, plus the ability to create engaging content grounded in real product/brand subject matter.
  • Proven ability to turn complex ideas into copy thatโ€™s clear, compelling, and entertaining.
  • Hybrid work modelโ€”New York Metro Area preferred; Los Angeles also acceptable.
  • Portfolio requirement
  • Social-first concepts and scripts (especially short-form video).
  • Work that demonstrates humor/wit.
  • Examples where youโ€™ve written about products/technology with depth and clarity.
  • Brand storytelling in any form on any platformโ€”from foundational strategic work to national campaigns.
