They collaborate with subject matter experts, writers, and designers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in technical materials. Their responsibilities often include content strategy, SEO optimization, and aligning documentation with business goals. They may work in industries like software, engineering, or healthcare, where complex information needs to be communicated effectively. Strong writing, editing, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Technical Content Manager position, and why are they important?

A Technical Content Manager should possess a strong background in technical writing, content strategy, and subject matter expertise in relevant technologies, often supported by a degree in communications, computer science, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and technical documentation platforms such as Confluence or GitHub is typically required, and certifications in technical communication or project management can be advantageous. Job description

Placement Type:
Temporary
Salary:
$55-60 Hourly
55-60/hr
Start Date:
Jun 1, 2026
We are seeking a hands-on, technically oriented Content Program Manager (CPM) to join our transformation team during an intense, high-velocity period focused on AI-enabled content and tooling.
In this role, you will act as a direct extension of the Lead Product Manager. Your primary mission is to stabilize operations, unblock the team, and ensure flawless execution. This is not a content creation or writing role. Instead, you will be orchestrating, validating, and operationalizing modern content workflows that heavily leverage AI tools. You will be fully embedded in our day-to-day operations, bringing structure, accountability, and velocity to our most innovative workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program & Project Management: Drive day-to-day operational execution across multiple fast-moving workstreams. Track action items, manage follow-ups, and ensure strict accountability and closure across the team.
  • Operational Integration: Act as a fully integrated, direct member of the team. You will attend all core meetings and take direct ownership of initiatives without intermediary or managed-service layers.
  • AI Workflow Orchestration: Comfortably navigate an AI-assisted content ecosystem. Validate and operationalize content workflows rather than drafting content from scratch.
  • UAT & Feedback Enablement: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), actively listen for feedback across reviews, track bugs or technical issues, and ensure the right owners close the loop.
  • Innovation Support: Champion new ways of working for content teams by supporting AI tooling initiatives and driving operational maturity in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
  • Proven Program Management Experience: Solid background as a Content PM, Technical Project Manager, or Program Manager in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Practical AI Fluency: Deep, hands-on comfort with AI-enabled workflows and developer tools (e.g., Copilot CLI or similar terminal-based tools). Note: Candidates will be asked to demonstrate practical, hands-on terminal/AI tool skills during the interview process.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to actively participate in UAT, identify bugs, and communicate effectively with technical and product stakeholders.
  • Operational Rigor: Exceptional organizational skills with a knack for turning meeting notes and high-level ideas into structured, trackable action items.
  • Thrives in Ambiguity: Ability to operate autonomously, pivot quickly, and maintain high velocity during organizational or technological transformations.
What This Role Is NOT
  • This is not a copywriting, technical writing, or content creation role.
  • This is not a high-level strategy or tooling development role; it is an execution-focused, operational role.
