Residential Carpenter – Build High-End Custom Homes with a Premier Craftsmanship Team

Job Overview
  • Company: M.R. Brewer, LLC.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $28 to $38 per hour (Based on experience) plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Portland, ME (Travel Required).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift.

  • Project Scope: High-end Residential / Custom Home Building.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a skilled craftsman within our Field Operations team, transforming high-end residential designs into physical realities. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects ranging from custom cabinetry installations to full-scale home construction. You will be part of a respectful, solution-driven environment where your integrity and dedication to quality are recognized and rewarded.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Execute selective demolition and structural framing to establish a solid foundation for premium residential projects.

  • Install exterior siding, trim, and interior finishes with uncompromising attention to detail and craftsmanship.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Foremen to ensure complex carpentry tasks are completed within realistic schedules.

  • Implement precise cabinet and hardware installations that meet the high standards of our custom millwork shop.

  • Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to maintain architectural integrity across all phases of construction.

  • Maintain a safe and organized jobsite by adhering to strict safety protocols and utilizing specialized equipment correctly.

  • Mentor junior team members by demonstrating time-tested techniques and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience specifically within residential construction.

  • Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and architectural specifications.

  • Broad technical knowledge of standard industry tools, equipment, and residential building codes.

  • Absolute willingness to travel to project assignments within the region as required by the business.

  • Strong communication skills and a solution-driven mindset for resolving on-site technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience in high-end finish carpentry or custom millwork installation.

  • Prior experience working in an integrated design-build environment.
