This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a fullโ€‘time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations. Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology. Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers. Works under general direction.

Nondestructive Evaluation Technical Analyst โ€“ Huntsville, AL โ€“ NDE Technician Position Responsibilities
  • Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, in performing complex analysis and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications.
  • Leads, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
  • Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Leads the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.
  • Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of complex issues with suppliers and customers.
  • Supports audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert.
  • Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by leading the design, development, fabrication, testing, evaluation and implementation of new concepts and technology.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in Nondestructive Evaluation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., CAD/CAM, CATIA, Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years of handsโ€‘on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy)
  • Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)
  • ASNT Level 2 in multiple nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)
  • Experience working in multiโ€‘discipline teams, a strong desire to work with technical and nonโ€‘technical customers
  • Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations
  • Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required
