Job description

We are seeking an ambitious Technical Program Manager to join our Metrics and Data Platform team at Amazon Music. The Metrics and Data Platform team plays a central role in enabling Amazon Music's business decisions and data-driven software development by processing billions of streaming events and delivering the behavioral and operational metrics that teams across Music, Prime, and Retail depend on every day. We maintain a scalable and robust data platform to support Amazon Music's business operations and growth, and collaborate closely with data producers and data consumers to accelerate innovation using data.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will own and drive multiple high-impact programs across Amazon Music

You will lead the Data Quality program, setting strategy, managing cross-functional relationships, and delivering a portfolio of initiatives that improve the reliability, accuracy, and usability of Amazon Music's data at scale. You will also lead efforts to simplify our event and data models across the business and drive operational excellence improvements across the Music organization. You will build consensus across stakeholders, drive key decisions, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep programs on track.

A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, highly analytical, adept at managing multiple complex programs simultaneously across a data-heavy organization, and energized by the opportunity to shape how an entire organization uses data.
Key job responsibilities
- Owning the Data Quality program end-to-end, including setting overall strategy, running quarterly business reviews, holding weekly reviews to track progress, and owning the Data Quality goals for 2026 and beyond
- Deep diving complex data quality issues across the business, identifying root causes, and driving systemic improvements to reduce recurrence
- Leading GenAI initiatives to improve data quality, through improved testing, better data attribution, and more
- Driving event and data model simplification efforts across the business, working with data producers and consumers to make models more intuitive and increase data value
- Leading operational excellence improvements across the Music organization, including identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage GenAI to accelerate delivery and reduce operational overhead
- Leading cross-org programs with central Amazon teams, including driving technical alignment and program execution with teams outside of Music (e.g., BDT, AWS, Devices), navigating ambiguity where business and architectural strategies are not clearly defined, and building consensus across organizations with competing priorities
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, business analysts, and senior leadership, to align on priorities and drive program execution
- Writing effective narratives and presenting program updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Proactively identifying risks and removing blockers to keep programs on track
- Defining and managing program roadmaps, milestones, and goals in partnership with engineering and product stakeholders
- Identifying strategic opportunities for the Metrics and Data Platform team to expand its impact and influence across Amazon Music as part of annual planning
