IT Support Specialist Current opening, PERM DIRECT HIRE starting salary: $75,000 per year Key Responsibilities Systems Network Support: Provide end-to-end technical support for all computer systems, servers, and networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points. Site Support Travel: Travel to local office locations to perform hardware installations, network maintenance, and hands-on user support. M365 Administration: Manage the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, including user lifecycle management, license allocation, and troubleshooting Teams and SharePoint. Windows Server Administration: Manage Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs), monitor server health, and manage backups. Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated and complex hardware, software, and network failures (LAN/WAN) using systematic diagnostic methods. Being able to work with non-IT staff and explain issues in IT Neutral language would be a benefit. MS SQL Server Reporting: Execute and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and generate technical reports. Automation Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and system reporting. Project Management: This role will involve working on multiple projects to enhance PDI's IT and Operational departments. Requirements: Mobility: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between local sites. Troubleshooting Excellence: Superior analytical skills with a proactive approach to resolving enterprise-level failures. Networking Proficiency: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching technologies and VPNs. Technical Depth: 2-5 years of experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and MS SQL Server. Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified designations are highly preferred. Virtual Computing: Experience with Virtual Computing and Network Storage an asset. TMS: Experience with a Transportation Management System would be beneficial. Inventory Management: Experience with Inventory Management software/solutions would be an asset. AI: Experience with AI would be a great benefit.
