WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, technology support staff, vendor relationships, and technology projects. This role ensures that systems are reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The IT Manager provides both strategic leadership and hands-on technical guidance to support daily operations, long-term planning, and continuous improvement.


Essential Duties:

  • Manage daily IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, systems administration, endpoint support, telecommunications, and cloud-based services.
  • Lead, mentor, and support IT staff to ensure timely resolution of service requests, incidents, and project tasks.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
  • Oversee cybersecurity controls, risk mitigation efforts, access management, patching, monitoring, incident response, and user awareness practices.
  • Ensure technology systems support compliance requirements, including privacy, security, data retention, and industry-specific regulatory obligations.
  • Manage hardware, software, licensing, asset inventory, lifecycle planning, and technology procurement.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers to maintain reliable systems and cost-effective services.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, infrastructure improvements, migrations, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, backup operations, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Partner with leadership and department stakeholders to evaluate technology needs, recommend solutions, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, project updates, performance metrics, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, regulatory changes, and IT best practices.

Requirements

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on support of infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and end-user technologies.
  • Two or more years of supervisory, team lead, project lead, or vendor management experience.
  • Strong understanding of network administration, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, identity and access management, endpoint management, Firewall, Wireless, backup, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience managing service desk operations, incident response, technology projects, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or other regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy, security frameworks (NIST), audit readiness, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience with electronic health records, clinical systems, or other line-of-business applications.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Azure, CISM, PMP, or similar credentials.
  • Experience with budgeting, contract review, vendor negotiations, and technology lifecycle planning.
