Job Summary:
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. Saronic is seeking a talented and organized IT Technician responsible for providing advanced technical support across various IT systems and networks, ensuring the overall health of the IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and mobile devices
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
โ€ข Assist with network configurations, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
โ€ข Perform routine system maintenance, including software updates, security patches, and backups.
โ€ข Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based services.
โ€ข Provide guidance and mentoring to Tier 1 technicians to enhance their technical skills and customer service.
โ€ข Document and track support tickets using a helpdesk management system, ensuring resolutions are well-documented.
โ€ข Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
โ€ข Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex technical projects, migrations, and system upgrades.
โ€ข Ensure adherence to security best practices, including data protection and access control.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
โ€ข 3+ years of experience in a technical support or similar IT role.
โ€ข Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
โ€ข Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud services.
โ€ข Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
โ€ข Familiarity with ticketing systems and helpdesk management tools.
โ€ข Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
โ€ข Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a strong ability to prioritize tasks.
โ€ข IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) or military industry projects.
โ€ข Knowledge of autonomous systems or maritime technology.
