IT Sales Consultant


Position Overview

The Office Technology Group is seeking a driven and results-oriented Managed IT Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping businesses solve problems by leveraging our managed IT solutions.

The right candidate knows how to identify strong opportunities, engage decision-makers effectively, and keep the sales process moving with a sense of urgency. You're dependable, proactive, and committed to following through on every lead from the first conversation to the close.


About the Role

  • Compensation: OTE: $100,000-$120,000+
  • Commission: 1x MRR per new client

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Hunters’ mentality is required to succeed in this role. Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and industry events.
  • Manage a full sales cycle — from initial outreach to proposal, negotiation, and contract close
  • Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments to understand prospects' IT challenges and goals
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and KPIs

Client Relationship Management

  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction

Market & Industry Knowledge

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Educate prospects on the value of a managed services partnership.
  • Clearly articulate the ROI and business value of services such as AI, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, help desk support, and proactive infrastructure management

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM
  • Provide regular pipeline reports and forecasts to sales leadership
  • Track deal progress and follow up consistently throughout the sales process

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently conduct a minimum of 25 quality sales conversations per week, meticulously logged in our CRM, to maintain a robust and healthy pipeline.
  • Successfully close 1 new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) clients per month, contributing at least $3,000 in new MRR monthly.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a minimum of 10 active centers of influence or referral partners.
  • Maintain 100% CRM compliance by accurately logging all outreach, appointments, and pipeline activity.
  • Demonstrate a consistently positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and accessibility.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, IT services, or SaaS
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong consultative selling and active listening abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to continually learn
  • Proficient in CRM systems, video and collaborative platforms, email tools, and follow-up automation to drive consistent outreach and pipeline management.
