Job description

A performance and lifestyle apparel brand is seeking a full-time Women's Product Designer to help drive the future of its women's athleisure and performance apparel. This role blends trend-forward creative design with strong technical execution, ensuring each garment serves a clear purpose and resonates with the customer. Location: Charlottesville, VA (Fully onsite) Key Responsibilities Partner with design leadership to build cohesive, story-driven seasonal collections Develop seasonal color palettes aligned across women's and men's assortments and shared fabrics Apply color, print, and graphics to create strong visual narratives and merchandising stories Translate brand values, seasonal concepts, and customer insights into compelling product storytelling Conduct market and trend research within women's performance and athleisure categories Analyze competitor product and sales data to identify opportunities and white space Create detailed CADs and support tech pack creation for production-ready handoff Collaborate with Technical Design during fit sessions to refine silhouette, proportion, and construction Maintain design intent from initial proto through final production Select and apply prints, patterns, and graphics aligned with brand aesthetic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in women's performance, athleisure, or activewear design Experience designing full collections from concept through production Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and technical design fundamentals Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software Experience creating or contributing to detailed tech packs Strong eye for color, proportion, and fit Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Print and pattern design experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
