How hard is it to become a tech manager?

Becoming a tech manager typically requires several years of experience in software development, IT, or related technical roles, along with strong leadership and communication skills. How do tech managers typically balance hands-on technical work with people management responsibilities?

Tech Managers often face the challenge of balancing their technical expertise with the demands of leading a team. In most organizations, they spend a portion of their time on code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical problem-solving, while also dedicating significant energy to mentoring, conducting one-on-ones, and facilitating team collaboration.
