Description
Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is responsible for supporting supply operations, equipment accountability, inventory management, and logistics activities that support DINFOS training and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will assist with equipment tracking, supply requests, inventory control, property accountability processes, and logistics coordination efforts while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with personnel across multiple functional areas.
*This position is contingent on the award of a federal contract
Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day supply and logistics operations in support of DINFOS mission requirements.
  • Maintain records associated with equipment accountability, supply transactions, inventory activities, and logistics operations.
  • Process equipment requests, receipts, transfers, turn-ins, and related documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management activities, equipment tracking, and stock control processes.
  • Support property accountability and property book-related activities.
  • Verify equipment authorizations and assist personnel with supply requests and acquisition procedures.
  • Research supply availability and coordinate procurement and replenishment activities as required.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, inventory records, and logistics documentation.
  • Utilize automated systems and software applications to track equipment, inventory, and supply activities.
  • Conduct inventory reviews and assist in resolving discrepancies involving equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with government personnel, maintenance staff, and logistics teams to support operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with established supply, logistics, and accountability procedures.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting supply operations, logistics functions, inventory management, warehouse operations, or equipment accountability activities.
  • Knowledge of supply systems, logistics management principles, and inventory control processes.
  • Familiarity with property accountability procedures and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Experience processing equipment requests, transfers, receipts, and turn-in activities.
  • Proficiency using computers and standard office software applications to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all organizational levels and resolve routine logistics and supply-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military, federal government, educational, or training organizations.
  • Experience with automated inventory, supply, logistics, or property management systems.
  • Familiarity with government property accountability and supply chain management practices.
  • Experience supporting warehouse operations, inventory audits, and equipment accountability programs.
  • Knowledge of equipment lifecycle management and asset tracking procedures.
  • Relevant logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or property management certifications.
  • Experience supporting information technology, audiovisual, broadcast, or training equipment environments.
