Job description

The Position

The Technology Logistics Administrator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing all technology equipment, inventory, and related operational resources used across the organization. This role supports onsite employees by overseeing hardware lifecycles, optimizing distribution workflows, maintaining accurate asset records, and partnering with IT, Facilities, and People Operations to ensure employees have the tools they need on day one. This role is ideal for a detailoriented, processdriven individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment and enjoys working at the intersection of technology and logistics.  

What You Will be Doing

  • Contributor to the quality management system of the facility and the conformity of the product provided to customers.  
  • Track asset lifecycles from procurement to deployment, return, refurbishment, and decommissioning including cycle counts. 
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. 
  • Manage relationships with logistics carriers and shipping vendors. 
  • Conduct shipping and receiving duties including verification of bills of lading. 
  • Maintain documentation for asset tagging, device assignment, and chainofcustody logs. 
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline technology logistics workflows.  
  • Standardize packaging, tracking, and distribution procedures. 
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and internal reporting related to asset utilization, loss, and cost. 
  • Support purchasing activities as needed.  
Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Up to 1/3 (equipment prep, packing, workstation setup). 
  • Walking: Up to 1/3 (warehouse/office movement, shipping area). 
  • Sitting: Up to 2/3 (documentation, system work, asset tracking). 
  • Using Hands: Frequently (handling devices, packaging, tagging, cabling). 
  • Reaching: Frequent (accessing shelves, equipment storage). 
  • Lifting:  
    • Up to 30 lbs frequently 
    • Up to 50 lbs occasionally 
  • Driving Requirements: 
    • Occasional operation of a forklift or other material-handling equipment for moving hardware, equipment, or prototypes (training and certification as required). 
  • Vision Requirements: Close vision and ability to adjust focus for device inspection and labeling. 
Special Requirements
  • Able to read and interpret asset documentation, shipping requirements and inventory reports. 
  • Proficient with assettracking systems, ticketing platforms, spreadsheet tools, and basic deviceconfiguration workflows. 
  • Skilled in tracking quantities, reconciling counts, and interpreting simple usage or cost data. 
  • Capable of diagnosing logistical issues, identifying discrepancies, and making decisions regarding device routing, replacements, or escalations. 
  • Evaluates asset utilization trends, identifies inefficiencies, and recommends process improvements. 
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift for moving, staging, and storing technology equipment and materials.  
Equipment

Experience packing tools, shipping materials, barcode scanners, and workstation setup tools. 

Other (PPE & Safety) 

  • May require lifting aids, gloves, or safety shoes when handling heavier equipment. 
  • Must follow warehouse and office equipment safety procedures. 
  • Minimal exposure to dust and fumes.  
Work Environment
  • ClimateControlled: Work is performed in a climatecontrolled office, storage room, and technology staging environment. 
  • Environmental Exposure:  
    • Regular exposure to packaging materials, electronic devices, and storage racks. 
    • Low exposure to dust; PPE used when required. 
  • Noise: Moderate (shipping area noise, packaging operations, occasional equipment movement). 
Qualifications

Education, Experience, Knowledge 

  • 2+ years of experience in technology logistics, asset management, supply chain, or IT support.  
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and timemanagement skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Experience using inventory or asset tracking tools (e.g., Asset Panda, SnipeIT, Jira). 
  • Familiarity with standard IT hardware such as laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work crossfunctionally. 
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (typically 30-50 lbs).  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

None required; certifications in IT support, logistics, or inventory systems are a plus.Â
