The role we are offering you:


By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to join the corporate sustainability, ESG strategy and reporting team as a sustainability intern. Are you ready to contribute to the following mandates:


Reporting and compliance:

  • Contribute to the development of CAE's Sustainability reports
  • Participate in compliance activities related to upcoming sustainability regulations
  • Monitor trends
  • Assess gaps in reporting requirements
  • Develop robust data collection processes and controls to secure limited assurance for Sustainability report
  • Respond to sustainability-related customer requests

Communications:

  • Draft and publish internal sustainability-related communications
  • Prepare LinkedIn posts
  • Update cae.com and CAE360 (Sustainability page)
  • Lead CAE Volunteering program communications and project management
  • Develop ad hoc guides and materials

Project management and other:

  • Take on additional mandates as determined by the intern's interests and emerging sustainability priorities, also in collaboration with other departments

Skills required

  • Verbal and written communication skills (EN/FR)
  • Analytical skills, rigor and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
  • Understanding of corporate sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, UNGC, CSRD)
  • Awareness of challenges linked to reporting and/or sustainability mandates

Preferred education


  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in environmental studies/sustainable development/communications, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience or internships completed

Location of the internship is Montreal (Ville Saint-Laurent).


Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.


*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.


*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
