DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for building and implementing a technology vision that supports the company’s vision and goals. This position will plan, develop, implement, manage, and maintain all company technology applications, systems, infrastructure, security, and networks with support from an information technology team. This position will help with our internal software development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the performance of an information technology team in accordance with our ICOMPEL Values

Create and execute a clear strategic technology vision that supports business objectives

Inspire team members to perform their best work through effective hiring, mentorship, coaching, training, and development

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs

Provide recommendations on new products or solutions that enable goals and integrate with current systems

Lead software development teams’ maintenance and software development activities

Lead the selection, planning and implementation of new IT Systems that align with the Information Technology vision and company goals

Provides project management and cross-departmental coordination for the installation and integration of software and hardware implementations

Lead technology vendor relationships and the integration of external solutions with internal systems

Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the technology team

Lead with a customer service mindset and adjust platforms to improve the internal customer experience

Design, implement and maintain technology policies and procedures that are complaint with regulatory standards

Ensure all licenses, data and systems are secure and updated, conduct audits to identify areas of risk, and resolve issues with strategic solutions in a timely manner

Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Monitor changes in the technology sector to identify ways the company can improve and develop

Manage an annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Administer all information systems for Compellier

Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent and 8 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.

Associates degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.
