About the Role
Every system Torus designs, builds, and supports depends on the internal tools and infrastructure that keep our teams running. And that's where you come in. Torus is hiring an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our growing team and company. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting users across every part of Torus's mission, from engineering to manufacturing to the field. The position will handle troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of Torus's internal systems.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT related issues or requests via email, slack or submitted ticket.
  • Responsible for all aspects of an organization's network systems including software, hardware and support.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes meticulously to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Manage the setup, configuration, and deployment of various platforms and systems across the organization.
  • Administer user access and permissions within systems and platforms, ensuring proper levels of security and data integrity.
  • Respond to performance issues and service outages.
  • Documenting IT system configuration.
  • Updates/creates system documentation which may affect multiple teams.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Network Security/ Engineering/ Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Work experience may be evaluated in place of education.
  • 1+ years experience in IT Helpdesk role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, Office 365/Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Jira ITSM and Slack for ticket management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networks.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Location + Travel The role is Oregon-based remote with on-site work as needed in our Oregon Warehouse. Requires occasional travel to Utah for team meetings.
Schedule Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation $60,000 - 70,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)
Work Authorization Applicants must already have the legal authorization to work in the US without requiring any employer sponsorship.
