The Technology Innovation Strategy & Insights Lead is responsible for developing, owning, and operationalizing a cohesive technology strategy narrative across leadership, executive, and Board‑level discussions. This role translates technology strategy, modernization and innovation initiatives, and external market insights into clear, executive‑ready narratives and materials that drive alignment, trust, and informed leadership decisions. Operating as a strategic partner to technology leaders, the role strengthens how Huntington Technology articulates its direction, progress, and priorities, and helps position Technology as a proactive, forward-thinking organization.

Job Description

This role supports technology and innovation leadership by shaping and delivering a cohesive technology strategy and insights capability. The Technology Innovation Strategy & Insights Lead develops executive‑ready narratives, strategic materials, and insight‑driven communications and insights that connect technology investments to business outcomes. The role synthesizes inputs across technology, innovation, and external market signals to inform leadership discussions, strengthen strategic clarity, and enable timely, high‑quality decisions. This role requires strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to operate as a trusted thought partner to senior technology and business leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the single enterprise technology innovation and modernization narrative used across executive, ELT, and Board communications

  • Create executive-ready materials including strategy decks, roadmaps, narratives, and decision-oriented updates

  • Translate complex technology and innovation topics into clear, concise, and compelling communications for senior leaders

  • Partner closely with Technology Innovation leadership to shape messaging, framing, and storytelling for key forums and engagements

  • Synthesize external market, competitor, and technology signals into actionable insights that inform strategy and leadership discussions

  • Establish structured communication rhythms and reusable storytelling patterns to ensure consistency and quality

  • Enable One-Technology alignment by equipping leaders with shared language, narratives, and messaging

  • Proactively identify gaps, misalignment, or narrative risks and address them through targeted communications

  • Support innovation governance and leadership discussions with clear context, framing, and implications to enable objective decision-making

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Strategy, Technology, or a related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in strategy consulting or similar developing technology strategy, executive communications, and connecting tech initiatives to business outcomes
  • Strong technology fluency, with the ability to understand and articulate modern enterprise technology topics (e.g., platforms, cloud, data, AI, resilience, modernization) at a strategic level
  • Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated, large‑scale enterprise environments
  • Proven experience developing executive‑level communications and strategic narratives for senior leadership audiences
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical and strategic topics into clear, structured, executive‑ready messaging
    • Experience partnering with senior leaders (e.g., CIOs, CTO directs, business executives) and influencing without formal authority
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong judgment and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Strategy, Technology, or a related field

  • Experience supporting technology, innovation, digital, or transformation organizations

  • Background in enterprise strategy, technology strategy, innovation strategy, or internal strategy functions

  • Experience in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent fast-paced environments in a strategy role

  • Experience preparing materials for ELT, Board, or equivalent leadership discussions

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to connect strategy, execution, and outcomes into a cohesive, outcome‑based story

  • Experience facilitating leadership discussions and working sessions

Compensation Range:

77,000.00 - 154,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
