Team Global Logistics professionals are individuals who manage and coordinate the movement of goods, information, and resources across international borders. Their responsibilities include overseeing shipping, warehousing, inventory management, customs compliance, and supply chain optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. They work closely with suppliers, carriers, and customers to streamline logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. These roles are critical in supporting global trade and ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently.

How does a team global logistics professional typically collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations?

Professionals in Team Global Logistics regularly coordinate with procurement, sales, warehouse, and transportation teams to synchronize inventory levels, order fulfillment, and timely deliveries. Effective communication is crucial, as logistics specialists must relay updates about shipment status, potential delays, and customs requirements to both internal stakeholders and external partners. Job description

About this position

At Tive , we imagine a fully-transparent world in which everything and everyone is connected. We innovate beyond what the world thought possibleโ€”so what people hold near and dear arrives on time and in full.

We believe (and live!) four core values:

  • Transparency First: We make everything visible so that everyone can operate better
  • Always strive to make things simpler
  • We are One Team, we have each other's backs
  • Relentless iteration to optimize and improve

Whether shipped by road, rail, ocean, or air, Tive reduces shipment delays, minimizes rejected loads, and decreases theft, damage, and spoilage. Our customers count on Tive to ensure that their shipments are delivered on time and in fullโ€”because every shipment matters.

As the Director of Global Logistics , you own how Tive hardware moves around the world. You lead three connected functions spanning Fulfillment, Logistics, and Customs. Together they cover every daily order transaction, every freight lane from factory to warehouse and warehouse to warehouse, and every border our products cross. Your network spans Tive-operated warehouses and 3PL partners across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, shipping millions of trackers to customers in more than 50 countries each year.

This is a builder's role. You will own our global 3PL partnerships and warehouse network, select and manage our freight forwarders and customs brokers, and set the customs strategy that opens challenging new markets as Tive expands globally. You will lead experienced managers and established programs, while scaling the network to support 50% year-over-year growth. We are looking for a leader who is equally comfortable setting network strategy and jumping in to clear a customs hold. You fill gaps, you move fast, and you make things simpler.

Our ideal candidate has:
  • 12+ years leading global logistics, fulfillment, and supply chain operations
  • 5+ years leading managers and building global teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field required, MBA preferred
  • Proven success owning 3PL strategy, contracts, and performance
  • Deep experience managing global air, ocean, and ground freight
  • Track record managing freight forwarder and customs broker relationships
  • Working knowledge of customs compliance, HTS classification, and Incoterms
  • Experience with WEEE, Duty Drawback, and IOR programs
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) experience with lithium batteries
  • Hands-on leader and doer who fills gaps
  • Strong communicator who leads cross-functional projects
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented, and process-focused
  • Professional experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
What you'll be doing:
  • Lead daily global fulfillment, order planning, and customer shipping
  • Own the global 3PL and internal warehouse network
  • Manage 3PL performance through KPIs, SLAs, and QBRs
  • Direct all freight from factory to warehouse and warehouse to warehouse
  • Select and manage freight forwarder and customs broker partnerships
  • Own global customs compliance across every market we serve
  • Maintain and scale WEEE compliance and Duty Drawback programs
  • Set the customs strategy for Expansion and challenging market entry
  • Lead, coach, and grow a global team of managers
  • Deliver cost savings across freight, warehousing, and fulfillment
Compensation:

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

What does Tive offer?
  • A chance to join what may very well turn out to be the most important company in your career.
  • The autonomy and resources to build what you know how to build.
  • Work with a committed global team that have each others back.
  • Office-based or hybrid options. Your choice.
  • Competitive equity to ensure all of our employees have a sense of ownership in the long-term success of Tive's growth.

We celebrate diversity, and consider it key to our success as both a team and a company. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment of mutual respect for all employees.
