Job description

We are looking for a full time assistant teacher at our Research Park campus and Madison Campus.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Lead Teacher in ensuring that the classroom meets licensing, safety, and health requirements.
  • Attend to the children's basic needs (assisting with bathroom accidents, runny noses, etc.) and provide for the children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth.
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in conducting a developmentally appropriate program of educational activities in accordance with the Premier Preschool philosophy.
  • Communicate effectively, positively and with the appropriate professional speech and annunciation patterns when speaking with children and adults.
  • Participate in staff meetings, staff development activities, open houses and other school wide events.
  • Perform duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing materials, and cleaning restrooms daily.
  • Adhere to all school policies and DHR regulations.
Qualifications
  • Be 18 years old and posses a state identification card or drivers license
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CDA or early childhood college coursework preferred
  • Preschool classroom experience preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds, able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Relate sensitively to people of all ages and varied backgrounds
  • Uses supervision constructively ands works as a team member
