Job description

Description:

Ontario Christian School is an independent Christian school serving PK-12th grade students representing over 200 different churches throughout the Inland Empire. For over 80 years, we have partnered with Christian families to provide an excellent education that grows Christian leaders. Whether our graduates transition to college or career, they are prepared to make a difference in this world for Christ.

At Ontario Christian, we believe our greatest strength is our people. Our faculty and staff are passionate professionals who view their work as both a calling and a craft. We value collaboration, growth, and meaningful relationships, and we are united by a shared desire to positively impact students’ lives for Christ. Employees at Ontario Christian experience a supportive community, opportunities for professional development, and the joy of contributing to a mission that matters—helping students discover their God-given potential and purpose.

Ontario Christian School is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher who will contribute to our commitment to academic excellence and faith-based education. This position partners with a classroom aide and is responsible for a Mild to Moderate classroom with 5-7 high school students. This educator will design and deliver engaging lesson plans while creatively integrating biblical truth into a rigorous, standards-based curriculum. This position will teach the core subjects and the students will also participate in some elective classes with other teachers. Through both instruction and mentorship, the teacher will guide students in their academic growth while supporting their spiritual development.

The ideal candidate will preferably have 5+ years of classroom teaching experience in the applicable subject area and a passion for collaborating with colleagues in a Christ-centered environment. Experience in a Christian school setting is preferred. As a member of the Ontario Christian faculty, this individual is expected to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to service. As a distinctly Christian school, Ontario Christian maintains high spiritual and lifestyle expectations of its employees, all of which are essential to fulfilling our mission and modeling Christ-centered leadership for students. The teacher will plan, organize and implement a biblically based, faith-integrated curriculum that guides, mentors and develops students both spiritually and academically.
