Job description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ learning journeys in the Lancaster, CA area as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This contract position serves as an itinerant Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teacher, providing ongoing coverage for a medical leave. As a “rover,” you’ll divide your expertise between two school sites, engaging with a caseload of 28 elementary and middle school students.

Assignment Details:

  • Start date: August 18th, for a minimum of 8 weeks (with possible extension)
  • Full-time hours as a critical support for school continuity
  • Itinerant role focused on direct service and consultation across two campuses
  • Students range from elementary to middle school, with a variety of unique learning needs

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential is required
  • Previous experience teaching in an RSP or Special Education setting preferred
  • Superb communication skills for collaborating with multiple teams and supporting diverse learners
