Openings include:
- Special Education Assessment Teacher (district-wide): Lead comprehensive evaluations, eligibility meetings, and IEP case management with a strong team atmosphere.
- Special Education Teacher – Setting III/IV (High School Restore Program): Guide and inspire students with significant emotional, behavioral, and academic needs in a therapeutic environment.
- Elementary ASD Center-Based Special Education Teachers (multiple openings): Support elementary students in a structured ASD program, using innovative strategies and close collaboration.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education (or related field)
- Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education license, or eligibility by reciprocity
- Proven experience developing and managing IEPs, with strong documentation and progress monitoring skills
- Depth in one or more of the following areas: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Setting III/IV classrooms, FBA/BIPs, PBIS, MTSS, trauma-informed practices, and special education assessments
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and case management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and deliver specially designed instruction
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Implement behavior management and intervention strategies
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and Minnesota Special Education standards
- Foster inclusive and supportive classroom environments
