Senior Consultant – TBM Strategy, Infosys Consulting

Key Competencies Needed
  • Govern and manage IT financial planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor and prepare executive-level analysis of financial results regularly, including assessment of expected performance against established goals and actual outcomes.
  • Integration with the Purchasing department representing IT vendor spend within the supply chain process; responsible for financial modeling and metrics of IT non-HR spend.
  • Oversight of IT costing strategies to ensure internal customers understand total cost of ownership on IT project consumption, components of ROI of IT related projects, and intercompany allocation strategy of these costs when appropriate.
  • Develop financial modeling/analysis.
  • Identify opportunity costs.
  • Serve as a thought partner to IT leadership to influence optimized cost management outcomes and solutions for IT services.
  • Analyze the financial impact of emerging technologies (cloud, AI, robotics).
  • Champion the strategic direction of the IT organization and articulate a clear, concise strategic financial vision and direction; help others understand the vision, values, and their importance.
  • Drive IT cost management discipline via opportunity cost identification, continuous improvement, and methods to optimize spend and ROI.
  • Champion improving the maturity of governance, portfolio management, and workforce management to drive efficiencies and manage costs appropriately.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Four years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • Certified TBMA with a minimum of 5 years proven experience in IT Finance or IT Strategy consulting positions at leading management consulting firms.
  • Significant and extensive people leadership experience managing integrated high-performing teams.
  • Must exhibit leadership style that shows strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication, and results orientation.
  • Demonstrated executive-level written and verbal communication skills with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA degree or Master’s Degree at an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrable experience leading IT Cost Management or Technology Business Management (TBM) teams.
  • Experience with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles in IT.
  • Understanding of IT industry, particularly in cloud and network services, pricing and economics, procurement, and operations.
  • Expertise in financial and cost management systems (e.g., Apptio, Nicus, etc.).
