If you are a confident communicator and business partner eager to connect financial processes, technology, and data to create better outcomes and "own" critical financial data products - we want to hear from you!
Our Team: We are comprised of a diverse group of individuals that have an interest in accounting, reporting, analysis, business partnering, and lifelong learning. Each team member has a strong contribution and transformation mindset and is a confident communicator adept at business partnering. In this role, you will report directly to the Financial Systems Director, who will provide feedback and guidance on your career development journey.
Location: This is an onsite role at our GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. While GP offers some remote work flexibility, there is a need for hybrid/weekly in-office presence for this role given the importance of fostering relationships and collaborating across several capabilities. We anticipate approximately three to four days per week in the office. We are seeking local applicants, or candidates that are willing to relocate to the area.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia-Pacific and its subsidiaries are among the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of bath tissue, paper towels and napkins, tableware, paper-based packaging, cellulose and building products. You may recognize our household brands, such as Brawny® paper towels, Quilted Northern® bath tissue and Dixie® cups and tableware. Its Georgia-Pacific Recycling subsidiary is among the world's largest traders of paper, metal and plastics. The company operates more than 150 facilities and employs approximately 30,000 people directly and creates more than 80,000 jobs indirectly.
What You Will Do
  • Act as a finance data product owner for enterprise financial reporting tools and data products, including administration, governance, prioritization, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities, including issue resolution and process controls.
  • Partner with Finance, Tax, Corporate Reporting, FP&A, Technology, and business stakeholders to define requirements, translate user needs into product capabilities, and implement future-state solutions.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, strengthen insights, and enable faster, higher-quality finance decisions.
  • Foster an environment of experimentation and learning by helping teams apply AI-enabled capabilities to solve business problems and create value.
  • Drive optimization of financial reporting, data integrity, security, master data, product configuration, and data quality controls to ensure trusted, reusable finance data assets.
  • Manage product backlog priorities, stakeholder feedback, enhancement requests, and adoption opportunities to maximize value realization from finance data products.
  • Support audit, tax reporting, compliance, reconciliations, and company standard requirements.
  • Mentor Financial Systems Analysts and finance data product users to build capability, improve adoption, and strengthen product thinking across the finance organization.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Progressive accounting and/or finance experience with strong knowledge of accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Strong collaborator, communicator, and influencer who can translate complex financial data and accounting topics for varied audiences.
  • Product-, process-, and transformation-minded, with the ability to prioritize work, synthesize stakeholder needs, adapt in a dynamic environment, and improve how work gets done.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading process improvement, automation, transformation, or AI-enabled productivity initiatives.
  • Experience with ERP systems, enterprise financial data products, reporting platforms, product ownership, or data governance practices.
