Description of Duties:

The Junior Software Developer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
โ€ข Perform application development supporting total lifecycle management and operations utilizing Kinetic platform.
โ€ข Plan, test and implement major upgrades.
โ€ข Perform local customizations and system enhancements necessary to meet business needs.
โ€ข Work with a team of experienced software engineers to automate business processes and perform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) on existing applications.
โ€ข Tasks include daily system checks, application configurations, vendor updates, responding to customer requests and ensuring security best practices and compliance with Information Assurance standards.
โ€ข Interface with other team members to ensure cross-platform compatibility and standardization.
โ€ข De-conflict requests/requirements.

Requirements
Basic Requirements:

โ€ข Must have 6, or more, months of directly related experience
โ€ข Must have knowledge of various application technologies with a focus on web development. Technologies include React, Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript / JQuery, Ruby, Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL.
โ€ข Must have knowledge of Kinetic Platform.
โ€ข Must have, or obtain, a current DoD 8570 Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher
โ€ข Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
