Role Overview
The Tax Operations Manager will be responsible for Harvey's Global Tax Compliance and Operation aspect of the tax function, which includes, global direct and indirect tax compliance, tax accounting and provision (ASC 740) and tax technology. The ideal candidate is hands-on, possesses a strong eye for details, is a strategic thinker, and is passionate about evolving traditional spreadsheet processes through technology. We are looking for someone that can thrive in an exceptionally fast-paced environment and is excited to build and enhance our processes from an early stage.
What You'll Do
Global Tax Compliance
  • Support direct and indirect tax compliance and return preparation in partnership with third party tax advisors.
  • Oversee global tax compliance calendar and ensure timely filing and payment across all multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and maintain tax documentation and support all audit processes.
  • Establish standardized processes for global tax compliance.

Tax Operations and Provision
  • Support routine tax provision process, including deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures with the support of external tax advisors.
  • Maintain and develop documentation on technical tax positions.
  • Provide strategic oversight and technical input for tax provision methodology and process improvements.
  • Support monthly tax close process, including, calculation of above-the-line tax accruals and account reconciliations for all legal entities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on periodic audits.

Process & Team Collaboration
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation in tax operations through process optimization and technology implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong internal controls and documentation for SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate across finance, accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax data flows.

What You Have
  • 6+ years of experience of progressive corporate tax experience.
  • CPA License and/or advanced degree in taxation and accounting.
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS and public accounting with experience in tax operation, provision and compliance.
  • Experience with managing and building organization around operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, Netsuite, and experience with Anrok is a plus.
  • Curiosity on the role of AI in the field of tax operations.

Compensation
$117,400-176,000 USD
