Job description

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's income tax accounting and compliance functions as well as managing internal & external audit activities and supporting proactive tax risk assessment initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders and reports directly to the Tax Director, playing a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, tax compliance, and strategic tax support for the organization.
**This is an onsite opportunity. Ideal candidate will have Income Tax Provision experience and Partnership & Corporate Tax experience***
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Manage federal and state Income Tax compliance, including the preparation, review and filing of required returns.
  • Prepare and oversee income tax accounting for the company's legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement company processes and internal controls to strengthen compliance, reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the company's Parent organization.
  • Manage federal and state income tax Audits, serving as the primary point of contact with taxing authorities.
  • Ensure company-wide adherence to established tax policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify, scope and lead ad-hoc strategic and special projects.
  • Coordinate and respond to data requests from outside auditors and accounting firms.
  • Provide data-driven analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and ongoing tax and finance operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Tax Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive professional experience in tax operations across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial systems and applications (D365, AI-enabled tools).
  • Experience in the telecommunications/cable industry highly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (including public speaking) in English.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Experience with property and/or sales tax is a plus.
