Job Summary
A well-established winery in Guerneville, CA is seeking a Tasting Room Associate to provide a polished, welcoming, and memorable guest experience in a scenic wine hospitality environment. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys hospitality, wine education, storytelling, retail sales, and creating positive experiences for visitors.
The Tasting Room Associate will welcome guests, pour wine and sparkling wine tastings, share winery history, support tasting room sales, and help maintain a clean and inviting guest space. This opportunity offers a supportive team environment, hands-on training, positive leadership, and the chance to build valuable experience in wine, hospitality, customer service, and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and deliver an engaging, professional tasting room experience.
- Pour tasting flights and educate visitors on wine, sparkling wine, winemaking methods, and winery history.
- Conduct historical tours and share guest-friendly storytelling about the property and wine production process.
- Process purchases through the POS system, including wine, merchandise, and membership transactions.
- Recommend bottles, pairings, and memberships to support guest satisfaction and sales goals.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, sanitized, and safe tasting room environment throughout each shift.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 per hour plus tips.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Hours: Typically averages up to 25 hours per week.
- Location: Guerneville, CA.
