Description

 Job Summary: The Assistant Tasting Room Manager will assist the Tasting Room Manager (TRM) in many aspects of daily operations including management of day-to-day operations when the TR Manager is off, provide necessary back up for daily Tasting Room activities, help schedule staff, ensure strong teamwork, provide exemplary customer service and top-notch guest experiences, and perform daily tastings and tours as needed. The position provides support guidance and training to Tasting Room staff to ensure the team meets sales and club sign-up goals. The position requires a willingness to work as part of a dynamic management team, motivates the staff and interacts graciously with guests. The Assistant Tasting Room Manager will work to provide a healthy working culture to all DTC staff and help promote our view of a "Great Estate". 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Oversee day-to day operations of Tasting Room Staff and provide daily supervision.

Develop weekly staff schedules for Wine Ambassadors, Bussers, Servers and Concierge's. 

Assist TR Manager with inventory duties.

Run sales/club reports and set daily goals. 

Update leader board in partnership with TRM.

Submit weekly wine orders and help track wine inventory.

Print and update menus. 

Assist with training of WAs, Bussers, Servers and Concierge's.

Host guests when needed. 

Assist TRM with creating new tasting experiences and enhancing current experiences. 

Expand the usage of Commerce7 and take advantage of all that Commerce7 can offer in the Tasting Room. 

Conduct bank runs.

Schedule daily lunches and breaks for all staff to ensure legal compliance. 

Establish a tone of leadership and empowerment of staff.

Function as Barback to WAs - bussing, buffing, restocking on busy days. 

Create a positive and respectful work environment by leading by example. Truly work to make Charles Krug a 'Great Estate'.

Requirements

 Qualifications (work experience, preferred skills and education):

2 years Tasting Room Experience. 

Willingness to work weekends.

Preform efficiently and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment. 

Strong computer skills. 

Excellent verbal communication skills. 

Resolve guest concerns using good judgment, professionalism, and graciousness.
