Purpose for the Position:

To perform duties to maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing kitchen items, equipment, and area, removing trash, maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Sweeps and mops floors
  2. Washes worktables, walls refrigerators, and meat blocks.
  3. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
  4. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
  5. Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine.
  6. Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
  7. Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  8. Polishes silver, using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
  9. Holds inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.
  10. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck.
  11. Sets up banquet tables.
  12. Washes and peels vegetables using a knife or peeling machine.
  13. May perform cleaning duties for banquets and conventions.
  14. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing name identification badge.
  15. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  16. Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

  • Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
Requirements:

Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, and or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
